With over 37 years in the Martial Arts, Soke Sonny Barker developed his system called Tora Tsuru Ryukyu Kempo.  This includes several different styles of Martial Arts with a study of the human body's natural motion where strain and twist on joints or limbs are removed from the practitioner’s techniques.  There are no block’s, therefore, every incoming attack is re-directed.  Every move in a kata/form has a kicking/striking and a grapping/throwing concept applied along with Kyusho and Aiki-Jitsu.  Grandmaster Barker was issued Sokeship for his art on September 1, 2002, by the United States Martial Arts Association - O'Sensei Phil Porter.

Grandmaster Barker's system has also been recognized by the following organizations:

  • Unified Martial Arts Association International - April, 2003
  • World Black Belt Bureau -  April 1,  2003
  • Kokusai Senshu Tokokai -  May 3, 2003
  • Tokoshi Martial Arts Federation - May 6 ,2003
  • National Dragon Council - December 3, 2003
